Mit diesen kleinen Trompeten Trios von Damian Maria Rabe wird auf jedem spielerischen Level das Zusammenspiel, das gegenseitige Zuhören, Intonation und Phrasierung, sowie schlußendlich das Gefühl, in einem Trompetensatz zu sitzen, gefördert. Man kann diese charmanten Kompositionen einfachen auflegen und drauflos spielen, und- wenn man möchte- graduell den Schwierigkeitsgrad erhöhen. So werden spielerisch die Grundlagen für weitergehende Ensembleaktivitäten gelegt, egal ob im Blas-, oder Symphonieorchester oder in einer Bigband. Gut klingende Kompositionen, die nicht überfordern und einfach Spaß machen.

Not for beginners but for an advanced brass-ensemble.

„This suite is fun! There is a lot of color change: from melody leading instruments to the tutti solo passages. You can hear a touch of medieval to pop (Dock of the Bay) and even jazz. Some phrases and endings are surprising and imaginative. They break through expectations and provoke a little – a personal touch from the composer. Some passages are a challenge for the player.
